Award-Winning Content Writing & Editing
Since much of my writing career has been split between “commerce” and “everything else,” I thought it was appropriate to split the two categories on my portfolio as well. If you’re looking for my written commerce content, you can find that right here. Below, however, you’ll find a few pieces of historical content, “how-to” content, and good-old-fashioned news content.

Award-winning historical content
This piece of historical content is a multimedia endeavor that I worked closely with one of our associate producers on, helping to shape the original idea and final execution. It’s a quick look into the life of Wendell Scott, the first Black American full-time NASCAR driver. After ideation, I served as editor for both the video component and written article for publish. It ended up winning a silver 2021 Automotive Heritage Award for “Best Audio or Video Story.”
In-Depth “How To” Content
In 2020, video game streaming was hot. I have a bit of expertise in this area, so I was tasked with starting and hosting a weekly gaming livestream for Autoblog. This went hand-in-hand with a large increase in gaming coverage on-site and it allowed me to produce content like the article above, all about how to start up your very own game stream from home. This post doubled as commerce content, with affiliate links added where appropriate.
Weekly News Roundup
As mentioned above, gaming coverage became a larger part of Autoblog's strategy around 2020. As such, I started releasing a weekly "gaming roundup" column, focused on racing and driving game news. Above is an example of one such roundup.
MEdia REviews
Occasionally, I've received early access to upcoming racing games to review. It's always a pleasant surprise when one really blows me away. The rally racing game "WRC 8" did just that, and I got to write about it in the article above.
